Your wedding programs are important. In many ways, they are like an introduction into your love story – and they are a great way to show your wedding party how much you care about them too.
What are some of the most important things to include on a wedding program, though? We have some great ideas for you – so read on if you want to find out more.
The cover page. While there are no rules as to how you can design a wedding program’s cover page, it is generally accepted that the names of the bride and groom, as well as their wedding date should be on this first page. Aside from this, though, creativity is very much the only limit you have.
The content. What you include in the wedding program depends on what kind of wedding you are having. The officiant’s greeting, the processional music (and maybe a brief explanation on why you chose those particular songs), special readings or prayers, the exchanging of the rings, the vows, explanations you may have with regards to the ceremony (especially if it’s an inter-faith one) – these are some of the things you can include in the wedding program.
Regardless of what elements you want to include in the wedding programs though, be sure you include them in their chronological order, so that guests can recognize the timeline and spot the moments as they happen.
The wedding party. Your parents, your bridesmaids and your groomsmen are all highly important for you – so show them how much they mean to you and your Big Day by dedicating them a special page. You can even write a short introduction for every member of the wedding party – and it can be funny, sentimental or any other way you want it to be!
