Be unique when creating your wedding Save the Date cards!

Your wedding “Save the Date” cards can be seen as a small “preview” into the Big Day – so you surely want them to look really beautiful and to excite your guests.

What are some of the most unique “Save the Date” card ideas?

I have gathered a few below – so read on to find out more!

  • Textured design. Want to set the tone (and even the theme) of your wedding right from the very beginning? Choose a texture that speaks volumes! For example, having a wooden textured paper will make guests think of a country/rustic wedding. You can also use ACTUAL wood nowadays, technology is an amazing thing, isn't it? Laser cut save the dates are all the craze right now. They are so beautiful and will surely entice your guests! You can also use letterpress which indents into the paper or thermography which raises the ink off the paper!

  • Stamps and monogram. You don’t need to create anything too complex to have a unique “Save the Date” card. Quality paper stock, a unique monogram and a set of personalized vintage stamps are everything you need to create“Save the Date” cards that look absolutely amazing!

  • Your photos. Your engagement photos are perfect for the “Save the Date” cards – just add a personalized message in a calligraphic font and you’re good to go. Plus, consider adding foil stamping for an extra pop! My personal favorite is a magnet since everyone keeps the Save the Dates on the fridge anyway :)

  • Location maps. Planning a destination wedding? Create a graphic map of the location and pin-point it, so that guests know where it is. This is a very nice way to announce that you're having a destination wedding in a creative way!

  • Love timeline. Offer your guests the short version of your love story by creating an adorable timeline – from when you first met to your wedding day. This is a romantic idea with the personalization that people love <3
